The idea of these classes are to prepare the students to pass the access exams to study the degree they desire.
INTERMEDIATE CYCLE DEGREE
The primary objective is to teach the student sufficient knowledge and skills to be able to join the work force, all of this taught in a practical manner.
The title obtained in this case is Technician which allows the student to either access “Bachillerato” or study other Professional Superior Training courses.
- Have finished the ESO (First stage of Secondary/High School) or its equivalence.
- Have passed the access exam given by the Consellería De Educación (Education Council) which is taken once a year. You have to be at least 17 years old.
SUPERIOR CYCLE DEGREE
These studies are for students whom have passed “Bachillerato” (Second stage of Secondary/High School) but want to study something besides university courses. These students are looking for practical courses that will aide them get the correct qualifications to be able to get a good job.
The title obtained in this case is Superior Technician which allows the student to access the university courses determined by each cycle.
- Have finished “Bachillerato” (Second stage of Secondary/High School) or its equivalent (have passed an experimental “Bachillerato”, the C.O.U., or have acquired the FP2 specialist technician title or an experimental module 3). You might be obligated to have studied certain courses in “Bachillerato” associated with the professional studies you want to access.
- Have passed the access exam given by the Consellería De Educación (Education Council) which is taken once a year. You have to be at least 19 years old or 18 years old having acquired the Intermediate cycle degree associated to the same profession or its similarities.
